Weidler Court Apartment Building

Weidler Court in the Lloyd District

Weidler Court in the Lloyd District

Weidler Court is perhaps the nicest looking residential brick building in Portland’s Lloyd District.  It has two stories, plus one that is partly above ground and partly below.

It is built with tan or light brown bricks.  A decorative touch, the corners have patterns made from even lighter colored bricks.  The window frames are painted a lighter color than the bricks.  The bottom of the building is painted, too – a darker color than the bricks.  The same color trim borders the top.

A split runs in the middle of the building, from Weidler to the front door.  There are stairways and on the wall, there are black and white tiles.  It looks sort of old-fashioned but new.

A chimney comes out the top in back, but not in the front.

Three tall narrow evergreen trees edge the building.  Those kind of trees MUST have a name because I’ve seen them everywhere.  People use them as borders.  You’ve seen them, too.  I don’t know what they’re called, though.  There are also some nice plants and a beautiful strip of green grass.

Directly in back of the building is a white wooden office attachment.  It’s probably where property managers meet prospective tenants.  There is a driveway right in front of it.  A sign says, “Secolo Real Estate Investments.”

This building is located at the corner of 14th and Weidler.  If you stepped out the front entrance, walked to Weidler and turned right, the first place you would come to is Grand Central Café then Umpqua Bank.  Applebee’s is on the opposite corner of the block and directly behind Weidler Court is another residential building.  This one is made of white wood.  I get the impression that it is managed by the same company.

Across Weidler (from Weidler Court) is Panda Express and a Sushi Bar.  To the left side are slanted parking areas.  Lloyd Center is close by.

The apartments don’t have balconies, I don’t know where you park and I have absolutely no idea where you put your trash.
